I said it was a pretty pistol, but like all 1911's today it is really a clone, albeit a nice clone. I don't know of any manufacturer that makes the Browning original 1911 anymore and A1 or others are not original, plus dozens of manufacturers. I'm glad for you, really, it's just not for me and I agree with your reasons above. I feel the same way about knives, cars, or anything else. I just don't get it I guess to having a show piece in anything as it comes off as vanity JMO.
