NKorea 'Wants End To Hostilities With US'

In a New Year message, the country pledged to "establish a lasting peace system on the Korean Peninsula and make it nuclear-free through dialogue and negotiations".
The statement was issued in a joint editorial by the three major North Korean newspapers, according to state media.
Both the Communist country and the US agreed on the need to resume talks during Barack Obama's trip to Pyongyang in early December.
However, the North failed to make a firm commitment on when it would re-engage with Washington
