A date is In the books for a Meet n Shoot

    When: Saturday, Sept. 2nd
    Where: Winamac FWA shooting range
Time: Range opens at 9am EST

    Link to Winamac FWA

I usually get there a little later than open but stay till 2-3pm. Some members get there as soon as it opens.

We usually meet up at the 25 yard range, but feel free to use whatever ranges you like.

Winamac has 25, 50, 100, and a single bench at 200 yard range

Feel free to list what you're bringing and if you'll allow others to try them out. Let others know if they need to bring some of their own ammo or if you're feeling really charitable and will allow use of your stash

Look forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting some new as well.

Hope to see a bunch there! :ingo:

I will post later with what I'm expecting to bring, after I think about it.
Bringing EVERYTHING is just too hard nowadays.

If weather allows the day before for me to smoke a couple pork shoulders, I just may bring pulled pork. It's going to be a play it by ear type of thing though. Way to early to tell, especially when the meteorologists can't predict 4 hours from now

Definitely will. Unfortunately won't know till maybe 2 days in advance and then still have to trust the damn weathermen to be correct
No worries, have the tables here so just a matter of loading them up the morning of with everything else and tossing a roll or (2) of paper towels in the car.

I'd go, but we got invited to my kid's buddies mom's birthday gift suite athe the Cubs game. Scheduling issues

Getting my list of what to bring. So far I've come up with this:

Pedersoli rolling block in 45-70 with a vernier tang sight like Quigley. Very heavy gun.
Savage 110 in 223......thing is accurate last I knew. Printed a 100 yard group that could be covered with a dime using factory ammo.
Winchester 94 in 38-55 Probably won't be accurate. I want to shoot the factory stuff so brass can be loaded with proper size bullets.
    AR build in 350L

Thought about an old Marlin in 25-20 but it's not the time to be looking for every piece of brass.

I'm planning on being there. Bringing:

    Tube Fed semi-auto .22lr rifles:

    Marlin Model 60 (1990)
Marlin Model 81 DL (pre 1968)
Stevens 87a, aka gill gun or click-clack gun (1948)

    .22lr semi-auto
    RIA TM-22

    Pistol Caliber Carbines (9mm)
    Ruger PC Carbine
    S&W M&P FPC

    I'll bring some targets.

I have some mundane pistols by S&W and Ruger if anyone wants to try them.

If you are going to be there and there is something you want to try, post your request in this thread. You might get your wish.
