    In the country, hopefully.
It’s 2:50 and they are on break or they quit.

I’ll never forget the first time I saw them, I was about 16-17, I was dumping a wagon of corn about 2-3am.
I just looked up and saw all this colored flickering. Big tongues of color all over. Took me a minute to know what it was, but I was screaming and whooping and hollering and running in circles in the barn lot like a madman. I ran into the house screaming for mom to get up and ran back out just as fast. Dad didn’t see them, from the combine with the lights on.

That will be tough to beat, but tonight had a few wow moments as well.
If nothing else, just the reminder of how big the universe is and how small we are.

    NWI
The way they cycled was very neat to see. Last time they were visible in NWI was 2005, and it was cloudy. Glad I could take the family to the beach (2 miles away, like we did for the meteor shower) to experience it.
