NRA INSTRUCTOR Course Aug. 22 & 23 - Indy Gun Safety

Indy Gun Safety will be offering the NRA Pistol Instructor Course on Saturday & Sunday, August 22nd & 23rd from 8AM to 6 PM both days. Successful candidates will be able to teach NRA Basic Pistol and First Steps Pistol upon completion. This course includes Basic instructor Training. (BIT)

A pre-course evaluation must be completed to show shooting skill, pistol knowledge, and proper attitude. Certain NRA, USPSA and IDPA classifications will suffice for the shooting test.
This course teaches the knowledge, skill, and attitude necessary to train the next generation of safe handgun owners.

We also offer an Instructor Mentoring Program where you take NRA Basic Pistol to get you NRA Knowledge up to standards and knock out one of the required written test. This also lets you see what your students will experience. Then, you take the NRA instructor Course. After the Instructor Course, you will come back and teach one course with us to get some experience setting things up, and getting a behind the scenes look at teaching this program before you run out and try it on your own.
