Bad idea. What the Fed's give, they can take away. This should be enabled by the states.

"This legislation wouldn’t override state laws governing the time, place or manner of carriage or establish national standards for concealed carry. Individual state gun laws would still be respected"

    THERE IT IS!

The part that won't make it into any newspapers or magazines or television news programs.

The NRA is now supporting the national reciprocity bill. What does that mean for them? Are they not arguing for a removal of permits at all? This is interesting.

I think you are confusing the title of the bill with the gun culture slang for carrying without a license/permit.

NRA has long endorsed bills of this nature, since the Congressman is Florida first introduced it in the mid-90s. (Was it Stearns from Florida?)

I hear this all the time. Let's see now, we don't have it now so if they give it to us and later down the road they may take it away we will end up where we are now. So why not go with it, we have nothing to lose, because as it is now the states will still be able to decide which states they will accept, so why not support it?

It's hard to take what we don't have now.
