In other news anyone know an estimate of doing a whole electrical upgrade. House has a 100 amp service box at min code wiring. What would be the cost to uograde to 200 amp. I suspect the line coming from power pole would,have to be upgraded as well.

The power co won't change the overhead wires unless they do a load calc that requires it.

The power company will change the wire from pole to house if you request AND pay for it.

Current 100amp have only 1 20amp circuit left.
Basement is unfinished so idea is to,complete it.
Estimte it will need 4 to 5 circuits.
Plus 1 for deep freezwr and fridge.

You can just run a sub-panel. How many breakers are in the current box?
