That Meet and Eat definitely will add some cred to your account. Its not all about your post history. Attending a meetup like this can* trump the 50 post rule. Once you go face to face with a handful of members and break bread, that can drastically impact your status.

That factor isnt addressed in the rules because it is a relatively rare exception, but its a thing. So you might want to reconsider.

*its not a guarantee, but showing up and interacting in person and being a cool dude could solidify your status.
