FRONTLINE EXAMINES U.S. COUNTERINSURGENCY STRATEGY IN AFGHANISTAN AND PAKISTAN
    FRONTLINE Season Premiere
    Obama's War
Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at 9 P.M. ET on PBS
Tens of thousands of fresh American troops are now on the move in Afghanistan, led by a new commander and armed with a counterinsurgency plan that builds on the lessons of Iraq. But can U.S. forces succeed in a land long known as the "graveyard of empires"? And can the U.S. stop the Taliban in neighboring Pakistan, where U.S. troops are not allowed and the government is weak?

    +1 for the Heads-up, I'll DVR this.

    * You'd likely be better off having this posted over in the Political section, as it will see a lot of traffic there, and will be more appropriate for the discussions that are almost bound to happen whenever the "O" word comes up, especially when used in regard to our military personnel.

I am surprised they are calling it Obama's war. I would only have expected them to pin it on him if it ended in an unequivocal victory.

I just watched it. I really like the Frontline stuff. They have good investigative reporting. Plus, it's free and online. You can't beat that.

I just hope that those Marine's pick up all their brass after a firefight. We need it over here.
