My step grandfather passed away recently and the family was going through his stuff. They ran across some old paper hull shotgun ammo. My dad brought it to me and asked if it was worth anything or should be disposed of. I told him that there are collectors who buy this stuff. I told him that I would do some digging. As an avid waterfowl hunter, I am interested in the stuff myself just to keep on the mantle. My step grandfather and I were not close so I there is no way that I would not consider paying my step mom and her brothers a fair price for it in the event that I decide to buy it. If I don't decide to buy it, I want them to get a fair price ... I hope that all makes sense ... LOL. Anyway, is there a resource to figure out what this kind of stuff is worth? Below is a photo. One of the boxes of Peters High Velocity is 100% full and the box is in real good condition. The other box and the Victor are 3/4 or so full. The white box is random loose 12 ga loads, all paper hull 2 3/4" various makes and shot sizes. There are three .410 paper hull rounds in there also.
Any clue where to start to find a legitimate value on this stuff?
