I don't know if this article is online but wanted to share just the last 2 paragraphs of it.

SOURCE: America's 1st Freedom (NRA Magazine), Oct. 2009

Back in 1982, the town of Kennesaw, GA., passed a law requiring every head of household to keep a gun in the house. The story got international attention.

Columnist Art Buchwald wrote a piece for The Washington Post pedicting routine arguments would be settled in Wild West shootouts. Sound familiar?

What really happened in Kennesw is the population boomedd, and crime plummeted. The town of 5,000 i 1982 is now more than 30,000 and there hasn't been one single Kennesaw resident involved ina fatal shooting since the gun requirement went into effect.

Yes, gun are good; some people are bad. Others are just ignorant.

    jediagh,
My brother lives near Kennesaw. They don't need no stinkin' law to insure there's a gun in most households. :D
The law was a political comment and reaction to anti-gun laws in the Chicago suburbs.
