Orange County, CA has over 3 million residents and 906 active CCW permits.

I just read this article Surge in concealed weapon permits follows California court Second Amendment decision | Fox News

The 9th circuit court's decision is not new to INGO, to be sure. Good to see more people lining up, even though it's still a small number of applicants. But I never realized that Orange County had only 906 active CCW permits for having over 3 million residents. That's insane. But I guess it makes sense given that they've never given permits for self defense reasons as "just cause." 0.0302% of the population!

Indiana population is roughly 6.5 million, LTCH holders is just under 500,000 as of 07/2013. I think I'll just stay in indiana!

I'm sure a majority of those holders are in security of some sort where it is required by employment. If we had a number for those with active permits that are not because of employment, it would be much lower.
