For all you NE Indiana shooters around the Fort Wayne, Roanoke, Huntington, Bluffton, Decatur, Columbia City area there is an Appleseed scheduled for this weekend Oct 6-7, 2012!!!

I've shot Appleseeds here several times and its a great venue with great hosts and wonderful food for lunch.

Every time I shoot here I look forward to seeing more INGO faces and I hope this time I will see some. :ingo:

The weather is supposed to be beautiful if a little cool, which is perfect for shooting. You can enjoy some great history and great classic shooting instruction.

The fees are low and very reasonable.

I hope to see some of you on the line there with me saturday & sunday.

    I'll be there.

I've heard different stories - need 1500 round, need 500 rounds, etc.

If I bring my rimfire - my primary rifle and maybe my centerfire, how many .22LR will I shoot through?

500 rds of LR will get you through both days if only shooting your 22. :D

Sweet. I'm having a hard time finding Rem. Target or CCI Std. Vel. around Ft. Wayne.

I'll probably bring my AK, if only for a change from the rimfire rifle(s).

I picked up 6300 from Cabelas when they had them on sale recently, so I can bring an extra box of Federal Champion bulk (525) if you need it. I'll let you have it at market price, just let me know.

I've got a lot of ammo, but a lot of varieties. I know my semiauto rifle loves Rem. Target so I'd like to stick to one load for the weekend.

    Thanks for the offer.

Congratulations JettaKnight on scoring rifleman. Great shooting :yesway:

It was nice to meet some great new folks, new shooters and some INGO faces.
Especially memorable for me was seeing the fellow next to me (forget his name now, sorry). He was a lefty who showed up with a right handed loaner bolt action Marlin 22 with a $10 tasco 4x15 scope. He had literally never picked up a rifle. Saturday morning he was as new to shooting as one could be. He got frustrated as he was barely on paper and his loaner kept having mechanical issues (his scope objective fell off). By time to go on Sunday his frustration was gone, he was racking the right handed bolt while shooting lefty like a pro, and he was nearly scoring Rifleman and smiling.
I think everyone had alot of fun and if I can pat myself on the back a little, I re-qualified with three Rifleman scores this weekend; two 210's and a 224 :D
Thanks to the Shoot Boss AuntieBellum, the two Orange Hats Sentinel & Stubborn Yankee and the Ossian Conservation Club for another great Appleseed. :patriot:

Can't wait to see the AAR from AuntieBellum
