The A-10’s routinely practice over my place, but a few years ago there was a show at Purdue and three WWll prop. driven planes flew over, headed south. I couldn’t believe they could even stay in the air going that slow. Looked about 1000 ft. off the ground. One I believe was a B-17, others were much smaller.But as far as being in the house and hearing a loud plane, nothing beats the C-130 that buzzed my house so low I felt like I could have thrown a rock at it an hit it. Was around 2012.

Only time I’ve seen the CH-47 in civilian life was after the ice storms about 20 years ago. Helping reset power lines I take it.
