That all looks great! As for self taught, I wonder if you could have found a better teacher! Im guessing no. I think I saw a thread you build a 10mm one like this. I think I must have one!

Ummmm....I hear lots of mentioning of a limited gun, but no mentioning of another open build. Hmmmmm, you dont have time to shoot it anyway, so you might as well shelve your limited gun and get going on my open build!!!!!!:stickpoke:

Just so you know I haven't forgotten about you:)

measuring barrel hood and where to remove material

Hood is fit setting lug engagment depth

Barrel is in and fully engaged

    Next to cut the lugs

Time to go to my day job

after locating the pivot point on the lower lugs time to trim

this fixture does a real nice job of recreating to roll on the lower lugs and makes final polishing simple

Lugs are cut but still cant put slide stop all the way in without cutting frame for a different barrel ramp.

Cut the relief for a barrel with a PARA ramp

    Barrel is officially fit

That is a really excellent job. I personally prefer to work using my hands, but I will be the first to admit that a lot of what you've done there is done better on a mill.

you decide which one I am talking about.... they both started right about the same time.

Why the purple? Its a real possibility. Not sure how well air dry cerekote would adhere to the wood though. And I don't think it will hold up on the metal parts when I torque down the pyramid head lag bolts.

The air dry Cerakote is pretty durable. if you can get the metal sandblasted it would probably work fine. I don't know about the wood either. Call cerakote and ask i guess
