So I got a new to me and what seems like slightly used p232 today at the 1500. I took it out to the range and it kept having fte problems on nearly every round. I took it home and removed the extractor and that all seems fine. I did notice that I was missing the slide stop. Would not having that piece cause my issues?

It does sit on the opposite side of the extractor inside the slide. My thoughts are that it allows the casing to tilt the wrong way sometimes and will then fail to grip it with the extractor for a clean ejection.

Would someone that owns a p232 be willing to remove the slide stop and try to manually eject a few rounds to see if this is my problem?

Thank you guys for the help and also for reference I will be contacting the store that was at the 1500 for the part.

You are going to need that part. It is a dual function slide stop and ejector. Comes out real easy too. Sorry about your bad luck.
