I love it when people from Indy or up north say where's that?
Just get on 37 keep going south till you hit water.
I cannot tell you how many times people have guessed I am from Texas or Arkansas because of my accent?

I guess some of them would be scared deep in the big woods. I mean we're the sun don't even hit the ground.
    I just call it home.

I am going to find sign of a Mountain Lion and post it here.
As soon as the ticks die down!

Having grown up in Perry county and now a resident of Spencer county, I don't understand where the Perry county accent comes from.

My best guess on the origin of the accent would be that most of the original settlers were from Virginia.
Land grants were given to veterans by George Washington for war service.
The Swiss that came in the 1850 would have had little affect I would have assumed they copied the existing accents?

On a hill in Perry C
Could very well be. When they learned English they probably learned it with more of a southern accent and it just stuck. It's really funny when you get somebody from Perry Co. with a southern drawl talking with somebody from Dubois Co. with a strong German accent.
