Better ingredients, better armed, Papa John's!

Glad to hear this story. Seems that so few employers do the right thing any more. Might have to order a pizza for the game on Sunday.

PJ's is talking out of both sides of their mouth. They know that if they fired her that they would lose customers as a result of their indifference to employee safety. They say employee safety is top priority yet are sticking to their policy of prohibiting employees from carrying firearms, leaving the rest of their delivery people just as vulnerable to armed robbers. They're just doing the PR dance, but if they really cared about the safety of their employees, they would change their policies which put their employees' lives in danger. People either have a right to defend themselves or they don't. If they do, then why have policies that impede a person's ability to defend themselves. Doesn't make sense. Just because they didn't fire her, doesn't mean they are sticking by her. They took her current job away from her they would have fired her if they thought they could get away with it.

Isn't Schnatter a true believer? Has he not hosted fundraisers for Republicanish candidates?

A self-made millionaire from Southern Indiana with right wing leanings? I think he is going to be receptive to the RKBA.

I don't know anything about the owner. My only observation is that it seems contradictory to have a no-firearms policy yet say they care about delivery drivers' safety. I hope he is pro gun rights. I think they need to re-think that policy.

Papa John's is worldwide and I would imagine the policy is set by the reinsurance company. If someone violates it, I would think someone who is on first name basis with the Koch brothers will likely be persuaded to letting that violator keep the gig.

Every delivery person in the United States should be allowed to carry a gun if they so choose. These kinds of people have a bigger target on their backs than most others.

Gonna go out on a limb and guess that if the driver had been a guy he would have been fired. PR of firing a woman defending herself would have been horrible.

Was wondering why, so I looked at the Wikipedia page about him and it's because he lives near there, in case that wasn't obvious to anyone reading Harley's post. Seems like a pretty generous guy, I would say.

Shouldn't every business owner also be able to make his or her own rules and policies? Just taking a different angle on it.
