I have a stainless Para 1911 that was made in Canada. I really like it, accurate and I have never had a problem with feeding, jamming and/or shooting at all. I am surprised to hear about the quality issues since their move to North Carolina, but I hope it all gets worked out quickly if it is not already sorted. Para has a good name/reputation to live up to and I liked the examples that I saw at the NRA convention earlier this year! I would trust my Para as a carry/defensive sidearm.
