Yes I hunt it. I hunted AND TRAPPED it before it became the refuge. It really pisses me off that the PWR does not allow trapping on its property.

I grew up there before it was a government owned. Killed many a deer, mushroom hunted and fished in snakey point alot. Its great ground for that stuff, pretty crappy for anything else.

Coyote, I picked up our permits yesterday. But it may be a couple of weeks before I get to hunt again.

I`ll look at the signs again but I thought traping was allowed by permit.

Nope not on PWR land. You can by permit on state fish and wildlife ground, after placing a bid on it, but not federal refuge land

Most of the PWR is swamp bottom ground. There are plenty of yotes, but it can be tough hunting them.
