Nothing particularly exciting going on there for me personally. I'm sure its a fine rifle though.

Give me a 6920 MOE and I'm a happy camper.

But some people thrill to have a name on a gun (remember all the Eddie Bauer edition 4x4's?).

    A real waste of money.

But can one of the AR experts explain what makes it worth $2600?

I'm not real up to date on AR accessory pricing like I used to be, but given the components used plus the name recognition, $2,600 doesn't seem outside the bounds of what the market will bear.

    For comparison:

    Travis Haley's "Jack" by BCM - $2,145

Chris Costa's Signature AR by LaRue Tactical - $2,895

Pat Roger's EAG Tactical Carbine by BCM - $1,999

Larry Vickers' signature carbine by Daniel Defense - $unknown

Todd Jarrett competition series carbine by YHM - $1,875

It doesn't look like you can flip the rear sight up without having to remove the scope. Am I seeing that wrong?

    You are correct.

The optic is on a QD mount, so the idea behind "back up iron sights" is that you jettison the optic and flip up the rear sight. It's not like you would be able to co-witness through a magnified optic anyway, even if it were moved into a position to do so.

The grip on the gun looks like it leaves a LOT to be desired, doesn't look "grippy" at all. Also, if I were going to fork out $2,600 for an AR I wouldn't want it to have a shoddy looking airbrush paint job on it. Just my :twocents:

Thanks esrice. I can understand when you start hanging lasers, lights, and optics on them, then the sky is the limit. By reading the link, I am still thinking that $2600 is for the base price and the "kit" price would be slightly higher.:D

    What do you think INGO?

I think let 10,000 flowers bloom.

Let everyone stamp his own name on a gun. I think it is great for the culture.

For me, not my cup of tea. It is a brick, yet too fragile for the important stuff. Too heavy, the exploder on it, flip up sights instead of fixed, etc. BUT my name ain't on it.

Besides, who here is going to tell Howe that he is on the wrong track?:dunno::D
