This morning I went out to our chicken coop and saw this print in front of the fencing. It's around 5" from tip to tail, and I have absolutely no idea what it is.

We live near 46th and Kessler. We also have a six-foot privacy fence surrounded by concrete block, so whatever it is can't make it under the fence.

    Thoughts are appreciated.

If your tracker is saying coyote tracks are 5" long, you need a new tracker! A big coyote track is smaller than the average beagle track. It's a large dog track.

    +1 for dog

I'll add that if the dog was coming down from a jump making that track, the paw would be spread out and appear larger than real life. I've also seen dogs clear a 6' fence. My old Doberman could get his front paws on top and pull himself over. My friends boxer does it easily. We had to add 2' to the top of his fence.

The night vision or even a game camera is a good call, however.

It looks to only be 3" from tip of toenail to the back of the main pad...IF the large leaf stem running L-R in the photo is the rear of the main pad. The track kind of gets a little undefined at that point - at least to my eye.

Can't tell how wide the track is in the photo.

Canine, yes. Who knows if coyote or "domestic", however.
