Would any of you like to share a good .357 lever load? I want to use 158 gn sjsp bullets and was thinking something like IMR 4198 might work better than any factory hand gun loads but haven't found any useful info. I'll be using these in a Rossi '92 with 18" barrel.

    I have the same gun.
    (Stamped as Interarms 92).
Awesome little rifle I picked up last year.
While it is a cheap gun, hands down, that is my favorite gun.

I have been plinking with mostly loads from my .38spl (cast round-nosed lead 158gr) , as I only have a handful of .357magnum brass to load.

This will be my first time shooting deer with it, and I was just going to use some factory loads as I haven't had time to play with some bullet/powder combos in my .357 magnum brass.

Even if you don't get any outside feedback, be sure to update this thread to keep me in the loop.

Not hand loads, but both of you need to try Hornady's Leverevolution ammo in your lever guns.

    Fantastic factory ammo! :twocents:

My 357 marlin likes a 158 xtp over 13.5 grs of 2400 with a small pistol primer ( not Magnum). This load has taken 5 deer with only 1 running about 25 yds and the others dropped. Your gun may like something different so keep reloading and shooting and it will let you know what it likes. Good Luck
