Went with a buddy and fellow INGO'er today to Blythe's in Griffith and walked out with my new 1911. I couldn't be happier in my purchase. Springfield Lightweight Champion Operator.

Thanks everyone! I may possibly be heading over to SERVED_USMC's place to shoot later. I don't know if we will have actual targets or just shoot at random things. I will definitely post up how it went though. I did notice while working the slide and trigger that it is very smooth but inside the ejection port it seems to have a little too much oil. As I have read Springfield ships their guns out over oiled. Anyone else notice this before?

She's a beauty! I had my heart set on one of those a few times now; but I had to go with a different 1911, price couldn't be beat.

I second what I saw before - range report please!

Check yer rear sight and make sure it's centered. I bought a LW Champion about 2 months ago and had to send it back to Springfield for adjustment...the damn sight was in so tight I couldn't get it to budge with a vise and brass rod. It's all better now...lol

You guys suck. Lol. I want a champion operator. If anyone wants to trade one for a beautiful polished springer champion let me know. Nice find. Hopefully I'll find one soon enough. I'm just to cheep to pay new price. I'll find a used one for trade or sale.
