Does the pin go all the way through where you can drive it with a punch? If not maybe take off the end plate and reach up with a pair of needle nose pliers and work it back out the side.

It is pinned through the body. The spring can be removed through the top. As stated in one of these posts I believe it is childproof. Thanks to everyone.

Bottom end cwp should just clip or snap into place. Shine a light inside an you should see how it clip in.

I'm guessing you're not old enough to remember these mags. BM took 20rd mags and pinned an aluminum block in the bottom to make them only hold 10rds. I've got a couple of them from when I bought my first AR(Bushmaster) back in 1998.

Now I remember these abominations. I think the block serves as the floorplate, that also sticks up inside the magazine. The pin isn't a pin, its a tab of sorts that retains the block floorplate.

Which I don't even think is possible with this thing to convert it to standard mag.. (it lacks the retaining clips). I would smash it, or angerly throw it across the Illinois state line.

You can try and push on the retaining tab with a tool, Memory is foggy but some of these that part was spring loaded.. but mostly you have to jam a screw driver in and push open the mag body to get the tab loose.

These are the EVEN WORSE AWB mags... made so it was impossible to actually make a 20 rounder from it. These things suck. Some governmental agency thought the pinned ones were too easy to make standard capacity again

Those used to come with a warning. If you remove the pin/floor plate it will destroy the magazine.

If you actually get it removed you'll most likely need a new spring, and floor plate.

If you accomplish it let us know how it went.

I suggest you keep it as is and buy a different magazine. Put that up for sale to people in states that have went totalitarian.

Iirc, I drilled the pin hole slightly oversize by hand then smacked the bottom with a rubber faced hammer to back the pin out. Moderation is advised with the hammer business. Good luck. Inertia is your friend.
