Just picked up a G26 (album) with night sights this past weekend.

I've got some Pierce extensions on order and a grip plug.

sweet 23 BeeRian, I may end up doing that to my 19.

Thanks. I did it about 3 1/2 years ago. All I used was a hacksaw, a soldering iron, a file and some sandpaper... Took a couple hours+, but I went slow and just took a little off at a time until the fit was right.

I do love 1911s, but this has usually been in the past and will likely continue to be my main CCW gun.

I like it a lot more that the RTF. The separators for the fingers are a little less pronounced so it fits in your hand a little nicer than the older grip. The rough texture is a bit uncomfortable for about the first 15 min, and then its quite effective for grip. I have rather large hands, and long fingers and this grip fits pretty good.

Also just did a little arts and crafts and have a bit of a new look on the gun. I took your advice jforrest and just used a crayola crayon. Had trouble at first, keeping the wax in the grooves, but after a couple tries it worked out great. Also I just used a dab of Break Free on a cloth to get off the excess white.

Sorry for the quality, took it on my iphone, I'll post something better when I get a chance.

Your coloring looks great! :yesway: Yea it took me a few minutes to get the technique too, and I really like the contrast! What surprises me is how well it sticks in there. I carry my G19 everywhere (but school) and like I mentioned before the crayon survived 110 rounds in about 45 minutes. :D
