I don't know much about these, but there are a few things that make me curious.
1. The rounded notch on the right side of the slide.
2. Does it look like it's been re blued?
3. Are those Nazi proof marks?
4. What is the value of this?
THANKS for any help!
You've almost got my exact gun!!! Your Hi-Power is a later (1943-45) WWII Nazi P35. Later war guns were simplified by removing the magazine disconnect safety, notice that yours has no hole in the trigger where the pin for that goes?
Looks to be reblued, the markings on the slide and the nazi-proofs are slightly blurred/rounded. Looks to be original grips. Is the magazine numbered to the gun, any markings on the magazine at all?
The "rounded" notch on the right side of the slide is for help when pushing out the slide stop during disassembly...it lines up just perfect over the slide stop pin when you have the slide locked back in the disassembly notch.
Value on a nice, re-blued P35 is gonna be right around the $500-600 area. I've been trying to sell mine for $550 at a few gun shows. They are nice shooters, but be advised if you break that internal extractor, you are going to search high and low for a new one!
Here are a few pics of mine...
