    I got a S&W Model 66 and it has a few scuff marks where i've shot it I want to know if I can polish the scuff and scratch marks out of this pistol to make it look like new ? :ar15:

    I'd take it someone who does blueing or a plating shop who has experience in polishing. I first polished a S&W 686 25 years ago. I went to hard and took off too much metal on the side plate and had to replace it as it looked like FUBAR.

    I'd suggest if you don't have experience with a buffing wheel to use Semichrome or Flitz and keep working it until you have the polish you want. Be especially careful if you have laser etching, it isn't deep at all and the polishing pastes can remove them.
