Records show the man being held for investigation in the deadly shooting near dueling demonstrators in Denver on Saturday was working as a security guard but was not properly licensed, 9Wants to Know has learned.

Matthew Dolloff, 30, was contracted through the company Pinkerton by 9NEWS. It has been the practice of 9NEWS for a number of months to contract private security to accompany staff at protests.

Pinkerton, however, said it does not actually employ Dolloff – Pinkerton did not share the name of the company for which Dolloff worked.

    ...

But it’s not clear who Dolloff actually works for. In a statement issued Sunday afternoon, Pinkerton officials described him as a contractor.

“We are in the process of still gathering information to better understand the incident that occurred in Denver on October 10 involving a contractor agent,” the statement says. “The agent in question is not a Pinkerton employee. Pinkerton is fully cooperating with law enforcement authorities in their investigation of this matter.”

I cannot figure out for the life of me why people go to these things. Nobody cares about your views. You look like an idiot, you're not influencing anybody, and if you get killed, you will have a hundred million people schadenfreuding over it (some probably on this site, likely even on this thread).

It's like the Portland crap. Let them have the city. Let the authorities own the responsibility for it. But no; the "proud boys" have to show up to make their point, and now the media pay attention to nothing _but_ them. If even a single counter-protester shows up, the media will portray it as an "even" distribution of responsibility, and once it's been through the mill a few times, something which is totally the fault of Antifa now gets spun as a Branch Davidian meeting.

Stop. Going. Yes, you with the Gadsden flag and the INGO hat. Just, stop. Nobody cares. Vote Trump and leave the rest in the hands of the authorities. Your life is not worth wasting. Your presence makes it worse. You are just adding film clips to the future promotion of the Mark Kelly / Joe Biden Assault Weapon Ban v2.0.

Let the liberals totally own this strife. Your presence muddies the waters in the minds of the average voter.

This. if folks a) feel the need to live in cities b) are dumb enough to effectively crap in their nest and burn the place down - then let them do it without our help. Hopefully they are smart enough to step back and think before lighting the BLM/Antifa match.
We don't need to add gas to the fire.
    We don't need no water.
Step out of the way and let Darwin take over.

Keith was more thorough in his cite. You left the part off where it says he was described as a “contractor.”

The producer he was "protecting" is widely known to be a Denver antifa darling. IMO it's going to come out that this clown was either paid under the table or specifically sought out by the producer for his leftist cred, and he was NOT hired by station management the same way other security is.

What “I” saw, was a slap, then spray, then a guy getting shot. In that order. You are free to see differently.

I tried the video link and it did not work.

Question, the "security guard's" hand is extended to the "patriot's" chest. Was this done before the slap? It does not look like a reaction to an atack to me.

If someone can post a good video link I would appreciate it.

One report said that the "security guard" was trying to take away the pepper spray.

IDK. It's hard to tell. It looks like maybe the slapee was attempting to reach for the arm that the slapper was holding the propellant in.

This is why I'm reserving judgement until more facts come out. Currently it looks like the deceased brought mace to a gunfight. If instead Dolloff initiated the confrontation by attempting to remove the mace that could make things much more difficult for him, legally speaking, if he was the aggressor.

It looks to me, from the image sequence, that the events unfolded thusly:

“security guard” tried to take the guy’s mace

    the guy “*****-slapped” him

the “security guard” then reached for his gun

as he was drawing his gun, the guy brought up his mace and sprayed just as the “security guard” fired.

To me it looks like being *****-slapped is what triggered the use of deadly force, and that kinda makes it murder.

I think the question that I’d most liked to see answered is why did the TV station hire a far left activist ********** and send him to be where he would easily get triggered? Some follow-ups: Did they know he was a far left activist **********? Why was he there specifically? Who was he protecting at that point?

He is a supporter of Bernie Sanders. Isn't that enough?

But seriously, does that mean that a guy with Trump flags all over can't be a security guard at BLM rally?

And did anyone mention that the guy with the mace slapped him because he was mad as a hatter, or is it too soon? :dunno:

So, thanks to the wonders of INGO, I have learned that shooting and killing someone is not violence; and that a person who posted anti-Trump messages, mourned the passing of "a self-identified progressive, internationalist democratic socialist, and Marxist humanist.", railed against those who supported Joe Biden, supported Bernie Sanders, supported The Young Turks, was part of the Occupy movement, and who posted "F**k the police" could not be a far-left activist.

I would have serious concerns about that person's credentials, and how they were trained to deescalate volatile situations.

    :yesway:

I would think that security should ba as invisible and detatched as humanly possible.

This is what i see when an antifa thug gets right up in the face of a cop and he stands there stoically.

Not sure what this is purple. Bernie bros do have a history of trying to kill ideological opponents.

But seriously, does that mean that a guy with Trump flags all over can't be a security guard at BLM rally?
He didn't have the required licensing and training to be a security guard anywhere.

And did anyone mention that the guy with the mace slapped him because he was mad as a hatter, or is it too soon? :dunno:
I'm told that he should just accept his beating like a man.
