I eat there 6 to 7 times a year when I'm doing the Crown Point gun & knife show and I can tell you I have opened carried in there every time and nobody has ever said a word to me about it.

Odd. The last time I was there after a group shoot, all 8 of us were well armed. Nobody said a thing to us.

Interesting last time I went was about a year ago and noticed the sign on the front door. Just because no one said anything to you doesn't mean they don't have a policy against carrying.

I no longer patronize Portillos because of their no firearms policy, but this was interesting to see. Do you think the robbers targeted it for that specific reason?

Yes, it has the "no guns allowed, come rob me, beat me, tie me up" sign posted on the front door

They did take that sign down for a while but put it back up.
