I just bought tech sights and need to remove the front sight. I did a search and everyone cuts the front sight to remove it. I would like to keep the front sight as a spare or to return the rifle to stock. I was under the impression that the sight could only be driven out one way(to the left). Does anyone know for sure? Thank some of you for the help, and the rest of you are welcome for the laughs.

I know for sure. Drive it out the other way (from left to right.) ;)

    Confuscious speak truth.

I drove mine out, on a early 70's model. I applied quite a bit of kroil the day before to let it soak. It was 'scary' but ended up not being nearly as bad as the horror stories I read on the google.
