Last night I saw a car being towed from my apartment complex with what looked like bullet holes in the windshield and side window. There were no police around and I'm pretty sure they weren't around before I saw it either. I didn't hear any gunshots and I spoke to my neighbors who weren't aware of anything either. So it must have happened somewhere else. I got a pic but by the time I took it the car was too far away to see very clearly. Is that something that should be reported to police?

    Could be anywhere
If it was being towed it's probably already been reported...but IANAL or LEO.

Even so they might appreciate the information...just don't call 911.

Yeah I would call the non emergency number if anything and see if they were aware of it.

You do what you want, but I personally wouldn't call anyone.
That's probably the way to go since it appears that it didn't happen at that location but then again, the police might be interested in the whereabouts a vehicle that may have been involved in a shooting.

If I witnesses something specific or knew what went on, I may have a different answers but: "I saw a car with bullet holes" doesn't get anyone anywhere. I'm no cop, but I can't believe that the police would care much about such a report unless they had reports that linked up to that showing what happened...and then your report is unnecessary anyway.

    This!

You know nothing. No offense but you saw a car with holes. Holes. You can't be 100% sure they are bullet holes.

Don't bother the authorities with loose speculation.
