I was just in a retail store that had bulk .223 for .44 cents in 1000 round lots. What would this have been before the most recent panic. Does anyone think this is going to get any better in the very near future as I need to start building inventory as I just got into rifles.

    Thanks for the help

Well it wasn't uncommon to see quality brass 223 hundred round boxes at WM for 40 cents a round. That price has still intact at WM but just very rare to see them instock....a couple years ago you could get them all the time.

Just before the panic .223 brass cased was around $300 per 1000 round case with sales as low as $289 or free shipping.

Don't even ask what I paid back when I was doing shows and there were actual ammo wars at the 1500 show. (hint - Sellier & Bellot was selling for between $140 and $160 per case!)

Oh to have a "Way-Back" machine.
