I wouldn't know. I haven't shot it yet (just got the scope after Xmas). Unlike others, I'm not too fond on shooting in the cold. I'm not [STRIKE]stupid [/STRIKE] tough enough to do that anymore. I just got over the flu so that doesn't help.

Well be sure to post a range report when you do. Id like to know how well it will do. Would love to add one of these my safe one of these days. An yea shooting in the cold is rough, but that's why some call guns an addiction. (I find myself shooting in the cold often, lol)

+ 30 moa wow gonna zero at 1k? Lol

The 30 MOA rail won't go as far as you think it will. With most scopes you're lucky if you get 25 MOA of actual internal travel after zeroing. Combine whatever's left over and the 30MOA in the rail and there won't be much left over at hitting something at 1000 yards.

Yeah, 1000 yards is the intended distance for starters

You'll get there! You've got a good scope and you've got a fine rifle. Once you get out to that range and your rifle is hitting run your scope up to see how much MOA of adjustment you have left. If nothing else it'll be nice for you to know.

This was what I was suggested to get. I have just started trying to shoot out that far...
...so maybe I wind up with a new base. How bad is that? :)

Im fairly certain I sold you the base with the scope (Id have to look). If I did, then you have a 20MOA base, not a 30MOA base. I dont even think EGW makes a 30 MOA base's. With your scope even if you had a 30MOA base you would be fine, but 20 MOA is the proper base for your task.

Took this pic during the long wait for the Manners stock. I couldn't stand shooting it with the floppy excuse for stock it came with.
