So, according to the DoI letter the DoI and the Sec. of Interior changed the name, not Obama. Hm. Won't stop Fox and the rest of the nutjobs in Ohio and on the net from losing their minds.

So, how about Reuters, USAToday, Discovery, BBC...

Doesn't the DoI and the SoI work for the executive branch? If they work for the executive branch, they work for the president. If "they" made the name change, he made the name change.

Then they have fallen for the false narrative as well.

Or perhaps you are just trying to deflect for Obama? Do you really think the DOI and SOI would have just done the name change without Obama's approval/order and that it just happens to coincide with his visit to Alaska? How many other times have they just went and changed the name of a national landmark?

To be fair, regarding media... When the event is viewed as a positive... Obama will be named as the cause. He will receive the credit. I think this event is definitely viewed as a positive on both sides (seeing how insignificant it is).

On the contrary, when the event or decision is controversial... the media is quick to say the three-letter organization made the choice... and distance Obama from it as much as possible (even if he is the one that directed it.)

Unilaterally? Definition of unilaterally: "done without the agreement or participation of the people it might affect."

DOI changed the name, which has been requested since 1977, with the full support of all Alaskan politicians and native inhabitants.

And don't forget the support of Sarah Palin! I think I read a quote where she regards it as Mt Denali.
