I decided to check out Fields Outdoor in Rushville. I ran into a good amount of primers and plenty of powder. They have atleast 40lbs of bullseye and a good bit of varget and other rifle powders. I haven't seen so much ammo and reloading supplies in such a long time I hardly knew how to react here.

Hopefully the time is coming where people don't "react" to seeing reloading components or ammo on gun store shelves. When it's no longer a "score!" it will no longer be a big deal to buy this stuff.

    +1 on that..

It seems the shops that have supply have a 25-50% increase on their prices..Bill.

The last time I was there primers were $40 per k, 9mm was $200 per 250 rds, think it was white box but not sure.
So, not great pricing on the primers, but I've seen worse, can't
speak to the 9mm since I dont shoot it.

Wow Im glad i shoot .40sw as its still 36 per 100 and easily available. This is the exact reason Im being turned off of reloading is its just as hard to find powder and primers as 9mm or .22lr and theres price crazyness happening on it now as well..

I stopped on on Friday. Primers were $40/k. The 250 rounds for $200 were 9mm hornady self defense rounds and I believe they were actually $189/250 but don't quote me.

Just to give you a reference point...Less than one year ago I regularly bought 1000 CCI primers for $28, 1lb of Varget for $21, and 1lb of Titegroup for $17-19.

This thread doesnt lead me to believe the posted prices are not severely inflated still.

Dont buy it...the price will come down.

    God bless
