I was reloading some 45 acp this morning and saw my primer feeder getting low.
Refilled it and continued on my way, but when the original Winchester lpp's ran out (the silver ones) and the gold ones began the amount of pressure required to seat them was less than half. All the brass and primer pockets were clean( love my new stainless tumbling media setup), and brass was the same make. Anyone else have this experience?

Do you always change primers w/o backing off your load recipe and testing to make sure it will be safe with different components? It's not at all unusual for different primers to vary in how much pressure they require to seat properly, just as it is common for them to create different pressure when you shoot them! ;)
