Anyone here own land in Putnam County? If so, is the county (and sheriff) generally firearm friendly? I'm considering purchasing about 10ac of land in Putnam Co, and hope to do some shooting once its mine, so I was just curious how the county and it's employees are with shooting on private land. Are there any laws or ordinances I should be aware of? I've done some research, but couldn't find anything.

Obviously I would have a proper backstop (plus the bordering land to the rear is wide open for many acres.), and deal with any neighbor issues, though I don't think their would be based on what I've seen.

Thanks in advance to any of my possible soon to be new neighbors :ingo:

boblittle lives out there, he might know the current status. The guy that bought my family's farm had a neighbor that shot in the back yard next door to him all the time last year, he didn't say anything about visits from the sheriff.

    Indy urban west.
    Very pro 2A.

I know for an absolute fact that the former Sheriff and current Chief Deputy is gun friendly and I believe his current boss Sheriff Fenwick is too. :)
