I guess I don't get all the QE hate. She was a figure head, and a little old lady. She really didn't have much influence on British politics as far as I could tell. Are there any other little old ladies we should be hating on?

The issue seems to be that she tweeted it early - before the Queen had actually died. She just jumped the gun. Queen didn't die until this afternoon and she tweeted it this morning.

Trying to think of how my life has been affected by QE2... nope, not coming up with anything other than having to see her offspring on the covers of tabloids while waiting in line at the supermarket or Walmart.

I consider myself indifferent. Sad an apparently decent human died, but it has no impact on my life.

Kinda the point I was making, but seeing all the "good riddance" type posts made me wonder. The Brits seemed to like her. She was a well known figure and apparently served honorably in WWII. She was just a few years younger than my own mom. I dunno. I think it would have been interesting to talk to her and hear her stories.
