My daughter wants a CR Speed belt but I am struggling with the sizing.

According to most things I have read I should measure her waist and then add 2". If I want her to have room to grow could I add 4" instead or would the tail get in the way too much?

What does everyone think about the CR Speed Versa Mag pouches? Are they GTG or should I be looking at something else?

If she is very tiny, she well have issues with the "tail".

If the Versa mag-carriers are the ones with the tensioning screw, they are GTG.

The smallest CR SPEED belt that we could find Collin was a 34".
You can cut the length to fit. At the moment he is just wrapping It
Around himself about two wraps. We will cut it this winter. The guys at
SHOOTERS CONNECTION are really helpful with belts and holsters.

I have a used CR Speed Hi Torque belt, black with red trim I would sell to you for $40. I think the size is 34 & it's in good shape. I grew out of it. LOL You could always cut it down if it's too large. Better to cut up a used one than a brand new one. PM me if you're interested.

Longer is always better on the Velcro belts because more overlap is a good thing.

    I wear 36" waste pants but i run a 38" inner belt and a 40" outer belt.

You would be good to go with a 4" longer version IMHO.

Good luck and kudos for getting the next generation out shooting!

Longer is not always better. I can't fit into a 34" belt no matter what I do, and my waist is 30". I have to have a 32" belt or it will interfere with my holster or pouches.

Adding 2" to your waist, and no more will still give you 6-8" of overlap.

Did you ever try putting the overlap in the back?
