HI, just moved to Indiana from Georgia. Love the country, love the friendliness towards gun owners, and I love the taste of the deer!

Back in Georgia, where there's also farmland, you could get permission from the land owner and a special tag, allowing you to harvest deer that were considered nuisances to the crops. Does Indiana have anything similar? If so, how do I go about it (I've already got my IN firearms license, taken hunter safety, harvested a deer in Nov 2011, etc.).

    Thanks!:rockwoot:

You have to have a CO or biologist come on the property and verify that game animals are causing damage. They then may or may not issue depredation permits. It's up to the landowner to as to how they are used and by whom.

I just asked the farmer who plants the land next my house. He said if he gets permits he'll sign me up for the Dep hunt.
