DNR website says the following about Roush Lake shooting range hours:

    "Nov: Daily, 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. (except during deer firearm season)"

Does this mean they are not open during deer firearm season? Or the hours are shorter?

    ALSO...

"Range fees will be charged. ($4/day adults, $2/day youth; trap and skeet range prices are $5 per round.)"

For trap/skeet, I assume they don't mean $5 per round fired, but "round" in the sense of, "I bought 25 clays from the range and can shoot them all for $5"?

    Thanks!

My guess is the hours are longer to allow more time to dial in hunting gear... but give them a call to be sure.

And yes, $5 gets you 27 pigeons (launched).

Just talked with the office. Black Friday hours are 9:30 am to 4 p.m. for anyone looking to send lead down range.

I see Hillside is open to 8, but if Roush is open till 7, that's good enough. We'll have a number of beginners* and I don't think the $15/person is worth it at Hillside.
