Quick trip to Gatlinburg

Just got back from a quick & short notice trip, only 2 days there & saw 1 bear cub in Anakeesta, none in the park as we drove through. Nice trip & look forward to going again when we will be able to meet our son there.

Our friends had 4 cubs & the momma just outside their door about an hour before we got there.

IMO that is the most beautiful area in the country. The smokies are my “happy place“ and can‘t wait to go back from the second I leave.

Seems like ages since we were there for 4 nights. Driving the park loop we came up on a roadblock of a few hundred cars. We got out to look, a large group of people were in the valley and moving our way. We could see a mom and 2 cubs. They made their way up to the road and our way. My wife didn't like them being on her side of the car as they walked by. Some of the people could almost touch them.
