Anyone have trouble with F T F "Hangups"?????

My .38 Super is a Rock Island.
Had to replace the magazine before it was reliable.

Not me. I've had a full size RI for a few years and it's been very reliable, got a hi-cap more recently and so far it's working just as well as the first one.

I have a ria 9mm and this happens all the time with the first 3-4 rounds in the clip if they are hollow points. Rarely if any with ball ammo. For what ever reason after the 3-4 round it feeds hp with no problems.

I had ftf issues until i got a wilson combat mag. It does just fine now.

Perhaps that's the problem.

I guess you could try to load the magazine manually via the ejection port with a stripper clip.....I don't see how it would work very well, though.

Which one you got?

.45 ACP "G I" Model. Bought a CMC Mag for it. Seems like Wichewster HP's do better than hardball! Lot of up & down play with the mag when it's in the gun.

The only time I've had issues with my RIA is when the spring is tired. Mine is a compact and the Wolff spring I run in it (22#) has a 400 round replacement cycle. I start to have trouble around the 450 to 500 round mark. Other than that, its been rock solid.
