    It slides/goes in, from right to left (muzzle away).
    Brass punch/hammer tap into place.
    Once centered, lift and slide elevator into sight's groove.

    You will use the elevator to adjust up and down, and to zero in for left and right, re-use your brass punch/hammer :)

    Remember, when zeroing, move your rear sight the direction you want your bullets to go (example: if hitting low, move the rear sight up).

    Yep, slides in the dove tail and then just pop the elevator underneath. I have an old Ranger as well. Mine is a long heavy barrel model that is similar to a Winchester Model 52.
