Its been really cold and snowy in most of Indiana this winter, that isn't an excuse to not get out and train! Cory and I go over some considerations when training in cold weather and how the cold can affect your shooting.

The cold usually does not stop me from practicing and I tend to shoot every Friday morning regardless of the temp. Tomorrow, I'll make an exception to that though. I spent 3 hours at the range last February with temps of 8 degrees when I got there but I just don't see me heading out tomorrow morning with sub-zero temps. I don't even like to start the vehicles when it's that cold if I don't have to. I know, I know... Toughen up right.

The nice thing about cold weather shooting is that you tend to have the range to yourself.

Good video though and it does a good job of highlighting why it's good to shoot when cold. I do cringe though, when Cory reholsters without visually or feeling for any obstruction.

Took your advice and went shooting the other day in 0* weather. Had to engage the snow blower to clear the white stuff away and actually had some fun! The slide on the gun (GSG 9-22) got kind of lazy in the extreme cold w/ low power ammo, but it was nice to be out shooting again none-the-less. Good malfunction clearing training if anything... lol
