I went looking for a recoil pad for the Remington 700 BDL.
What I found, or didn't, is unreal.
Most everything made specifically for the model 700 are out of stock or not available on line.
The ones that are available are either slip- on, which I'd like to avoid, or they want WAY too much for them.
I found a recoil pad that someone wants $179.50 + shipping!
    That's just outrageous.

I know you dont want slip on, but LimbSavers are actually pretty awesome.
Have you thought about one of these? I keep meaning to get one for my shotgun. But I ony use a shotgun about every 5 years, so there isnt much urgency.

I put a Limbsaver on my Winchester .300 WinMag and what a difference it made.

I put one on my Remington 870 and it made it a lot better to shoot 3" magnums.

It made my then 10yo skinny daughter enjoy shooting my Garand. (using a bench rest to hold it up of course) She shot it multiple times happily. She only stopped because she didnt like how loud it was.
