    To what point does a gov't become a regime? I know the definition. A form of gov't, usually totalitarian,that imposes heavy laws and taxes upon its population. Do you think any other countries view our gov't as a regime,even though it's a democracy, supposed to be republic(according to the Constitution).

    As long as there is a new president every four to eight years I don't think we're in regime territory.

    We instead have an oligarchy.. the rich and powerful run the show.. they don't call them the "less than one percenters" for nothing.
