Anyone own or have experience with a remington 341-p Sportsman? I was just told i have one that was my granfather's sitting at my dad's house. I am going to be getting it to rip it apart for a deep clean. Just never heard of one before and would like some insight to the weapon.

Hey I have one of those. Had it for several years now.
Pretty neat old rifles that weren't made for very long (prewar) and really there weren't very many made.
It's been a while since I've looked them up on the Remington site so I don't remember many details. It seems like there were some other variations of that same basic rifle.
They have a pretty cool loading mechanism.
Other than pull the bolt, and one time had the barreled action out of the stock, I haven't done any disassembly.
I've never seriously looked into it, but I've wondered if there are any inserts for the front sight available.
