Just wanted to show off my Remington 552 Speedmaster. I don`t own many Remington`s because I don`t like Remington, especially not since they covered up issues with their 700`s. Nevertheless, I`ve enjoyed this old rifle. I bought it in 1980, the same year my twins were born, and I`ve killed a ton of squirrels with it, back before deer and turkey`s were plentiful where I could get to them. But the rifle looks like brand new. I had a gunsmith add the sling swivels as Remington didn`t have the good sense to have them from the factory, and I got rid of the old Redfield scope I had on it when new, and topped it with a sweet little Leupold. Sweet little rifle.

Beautiful gun and I like the Leupold scope. I bought my nephew the pump version of that when he graduated high school about 30 yrs ago from Bradis.

I`ve thought about selling it a few times, but the sentimental value makes it too hard to part with. Looks new, functions like new, once I had my gunsmith go through it and professionally clean it up. When I`m gone, my son with have it, and it`s neat that he`ll have a rifle that I bought new the year he was born.

    Had a couple. Decent rigs.
Like the powder burns on forearm too.Good times

Had a couple 572s as well. Those hold a lot of CB shorts. Great pest control.
My pre 68 loved the Rem brand CB shorts.
Tried em in a post 68 and it shot like crap. Ya just never know.

I sold the pre 68 because it had a low comb stock and my Leupold 4x compact worked well, but not perfect.
    Stock a bit too low.

The prices on 552 and 572 BDL have gone silly.
